Opaque Addresses

Opal is proud to announce the latest addition in the range of Opacity Anonymous features: Opaque addresses. Opaque addresses use proven mathematics to protect your personal financial transactions and keep them hidden from public view.

What are Opaque addresses

Opaque addresses enable Opal users to have the freedom of sending transactions anonymously. Simply select the option within the wallet when creating a new “receive address”.

Encrypted Messaging

We have tried to make the above applicable to our digital currency in the form of encrypted messaging. You can safely send and receive anonymous messages within the OPAL wallet.

During implementation we got to thinking and realized that it would be great if you were able to essentially “store” encrypted messages as well.

Opacity can now also be used to store your (sensitive) information, fully anonymously and encrypted on the blockchain, by sending whatever you want through Opacity to either yourself or your contact(s).

Opacity Technologies

Opal coins can range from semi-transparent to opaque; an opaque object is neither transparent (allowing all light to pass through) nor translucent (allowing some light to pass through). Opacity is the measure of impenetrability to electromagnetic or other kinds of radiation, especially visible light. An opaque substance transmits no light, and therefore reflects, scatters, or absorbs all of it. These are the processes that lead to opacity. Opaque Addresses

Your transactions are safe, sent through an anonymous network. Unlike Bitcoin, your identity is obfuscated through state-of-the-art encryption technologies.
